Tokuse Amanfro, Dec 7, GNA – The late arrival of electoral materials coupled with mixing up of polling station materials delayed the voting exercise in some of the polling centres in the Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfro Constituency in the Greater Accra Region on Monday.
Even though polls was expected to start at 0700 hours; as at 0718, the EC officials were still sorting out materials and setting up for the exercise to begin; Ghana News Agency monitoring team observed.
However, eligible voters were waiting patiently in their queues for the exercise to begin.
Madam Anesthesia Ampomah, Presiding Officer of the Centre told the GNA that exchange of electoral materials created the delays, but gave the assurance that the situation was under control.
