The National Democratic Congress (NDC), on Wednesday, rejected the results of the December 7 Presidential Election as certified and declared by the Electoral Commission (EC).

Mr Haruna Iddrisu, the Minority Leader in Parliament, speaking on behalf of Mr John Dramani Mahama, the Presidential Candidate of the NDC, said the Party after extensive consultations and analysis of the results of the Presidential election,  had come to only one conclusion, that it was a flawed and discredited election.

Ghana went to the polls on December 7,2020 to elect a President and 275 parliamentarians to steer the affairs of the nation for the next four years.

President Akufo-Addo obtained 6,730,413 votes, representing 51.595% whilst his main rival, Mr John Mahama, Flagbearer of the NDC received 6,214,889 votes, representing 47.366%.

A total of 13,434,574 valid ballots were cast indicating 79% voter turn out.
