Accra, Dec 07, GNA – Voting is going at various centres at the St Peter Catholic Basic School polling centre A and B, Torkuse in the Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfro Constituency (BNAC).
It started exactly 0700 as they did not experience the delay and mixing up of voting materials.
As at 0820, 52 people voted successfully at polling center A, with one going through facial verification because the verification machine could not pick his index figure.
Mr Famous Mortey, the Presiding Officer in charge of Polling Center A, told the GNA that they received their materials on time.
He said there were 418 registered voters and expressed the hope that they would continue to observe the peace and sanity throughout the voting exercise.
Mr Collins Sarbbah, the Presiding Officer at St Peter Catholic Basic School Polling Center B, also corroborated with his counterpart at polling center A in terms of early arrival of materials and peaceful atmosphere.
He said so far, 55 voters out of the 345 registered voters cast their ballots.
Mr Alexander Ackuaku, a 48-year-old Tax Expert is contesting the parliamentary seat on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
While, Mr Syvelster Tetteh, 43 years and a Marketer is competing on the ticket of New Patriotic Party (NPP).
A total of 108,683 eligible voters are expected to cast their ballots in the BNAC constituency.
