Komenda (C/R), Dec.7, GNA- Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyeman, the Vice Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has urged the Electoral Commission (EC) to be consistent with the rules governing the electoral process.

She said this when casting her vote at the M/A JHS polling station in the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abirem (KEEA) constituency.

Prof. Opoku-Agyeman hoped that the electoral process would be successful and called for peace during the 2020 General Election.

The ongoing voting exercise started at 7:05hours in the Constituency amidst strict compliance of COVID-19 safety protocols.

At the time Ghana News Agency got to the Centre around 06:50 hours, the EC officials were set to commence voting.

Mr Godfrey Rockson, the presiding officer told the GNA that 198 registered voters were expected to vote and as at 8:20hours 22 persons had done so.

He said all electoral materials and protective equipment were supplied on time to aid the electoral exercise

Party agents, representing the National Democratic Congress (NDC) New Patriotic Party (NPP), the Conventions people’s Party (CPP) and the Ghana Union Movement (GUM) were present and expressed their satisfaction with the electoral process.
