Accra, Dec 7, GNA – Ambulance services have been strategically located within the Madina Constituency to attend to any health concerns.
It is part of the measures put in place by the Electoral Commission in conformity with COVID-19 Preventive measures as polls gradually heat up in Ghana’s Election 2020.
Security personnel comprising Police, Immigration, Prisons and others were also present at most of the Polling Stations Ghana News Agency monitoring team visited within the Madina Constituency.
The team also observed that Party Agents of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of New Patriotic Party (NPP), former President John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Christian Kwabena Andrews of Ghana Union Movement (GUM), and Ivor Kwabena Greenstreet of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) were at post.
Other Party Agents of the Parliamentary Candidates for Abubakar Saddique Boniface (NPP), Francis Xavier Kojo Susu (NDC) and Prince Joseph Oppong- Boadi (GUM) were also present.
GNA observed that each Polling Station visited, begun peacefully with all COVID-19 protocols observed.
Mr Muntari Awudu, Presiding Officer at Madina Zongo Polling Station “2.1” told the GNA that 589 registered voters were expected to cast their ballots.
The Madina Central Mosque C070812 Polling Station centre had 679 eligible registered voters, Presiding Officer, Mr. Mohammed Basha told the GNA.
Mr. Wisdom Bankesie at Polling Station C070810 said 442 voters were on the register.
GNA
