      Sunyani, Dec. 07, GNA – Madam Justina Owusu-Banahene, Sunyani Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), in the early hours of Monday visited polling stations in the Sunyani East constituency to assess electoral processes at the various centres.

     The MCE’s visit took her to polling stations at Kotokrom, Third Battalion Garrison (3BN), New-Dormaa, Yawhimakrom and the Sunyani Central Business District.

     Interacting with election officials, Mad Owusu-Banahene said she was highly impressed, particularly about the EC’s strict adherence to the COVID-19 safety protocols at the various polling stations.

     This greatly enhances the health and safety of the electorate to stem any possible spread of the COVID-19.

    She lauded the commitment of agents of various political parties, security agencies, election observers, media and all election stakeholders towards assisting the EC to conduct free, fair and credible presidential and parliamentary elections.

     Mad. Owusu-Banahene advised the election officials to quickly report any challenges they might be confronted with to the relevant institutions, and called on voters to conduct themselves responsibly to maintain law and order.

     She also called on all the electorate in the constituency to come out in their numbers and vote but leave the polling stations after voting.

     Mad. Owusu-Banahene later told the GNA she was would cast her ballot at the Atronie Cooperative Shed Two in the constituency.
